World Internet Summit Aftermath
It has been 5 days right after the World Internet Mega Summit has ended on last Tuesday. This is really a big event, and the whole place was flooded with people. This is really an eye-opener opportunity to see and learn from the gurus of the internet marketing business.
Though it was an exciting 4 full days event, but the presenters were only given about 1 to 2 sessions to share their ideas and stories. Although I know the gurus are not able to share too much due to the lack of time, but still inspired me quite a lot.The case studies of individuals are even much more exciting. They were just like you and me of yesterday, and it is their effort to make things happen, that seriously make me ponder over what I have been doing for so long.
Those were the days…
I don’t think that I’m still qualified as a newbie to internet, but I’m definitely not a guru yet. I started out selling off websites and internet businesses over ebay, and even sell hosting packages together with that, and all done during my school days.
While the rest of my classmates were thinking about what to do after school, where to hang out, I was busy thinking about what I want to sell, how I want to sell it, etc. And I can assure the excitement you’ll get, seeing people bidding on your products, especially those are your “own” products.
But right after I have graduated, I entered the business society with a job in the bank. And that caught me in a rat race for paychecks, which I definitely know that this is not what I wanted. I have lost my direction, and I am determined to find it back.
Thoughts from WIS
Here’s a brief Summary what I have learned about during the 4 days.
1st day of the event: Having the right mindset, right attitude.
2nd day of the event: Brief on getting started in internet marketing.
3rd, 4th day of the event: An insight on product, website and marketing
Things that I have gathered my thoughts….
There are only 3 key elements:
- Product
- Website
- Traffic
In relation with the 4P in marketing:
- Product - What are you offering to your targeted audience?
- Place - Where are your going to sell, to let your audience see your offer?
- Price - What is the optimum price that your audience will pay for your product?
- Promotion - Will a freebie be nice? Will it be good for a “One Time Offer” (OTO) to your audience?
