Jay Abraham – The Marketing Whiz

Jay Abraham – The Marketing Whiz

Jay Abraham’s marketing expertize really brought a lot of businesses that used to underutilized their potential to full-fledge maximizing and optimizing, unleashing their potential to 200%.

This is not something that I build up out of scratch, I read through his 502 case studies or rather testimonials. Every single case be it dying businesses or companies that wanted to reap more profits, did so with the knowledge and information that came from Jay Abraham, be it newsletter, books, audio tapes, or courses.

Think about this, how would anyone be possibly to get testimonials out of 2 fully packed 3″ PVC Lever Arch Files. And mind you, it is 2 thick folders of 502 testimonial case studies. And I believed the number is growing. Otherwise how would it be possible to consult 10,000 clients?

My Little Confession

Here’s a little confession I need to make. I came to know about Jay Abraham through the World Internet Summit (WIS), and prior to that I have totally no knowledge of who is Jay Abraham or what Jay Abraham exactly do.

And the fact is that, during the World Internet Summit (WIS), as his presentation was scheduled in the afternoon, right after the lunch break. Jay Abraham really has a “sexy” voice, so please don’t blame me for almost dozing off when he was giving his presentation.

If you are wondering, if that is the case, why would I still be in the position to post this entry about Jay Abraham? That is because, I studied them; I studied the presenters, from websites, from their testimonials, from their case studies, from the newsletter, from their products, practically whatever that I can get hold, and last but not least, from their ideas.

I always believed that in order to be successful, you have to replicate the minds of successful people, or achievers. How true is this statement?

Well, think about this, if you are an average student, would you learn the methods from a “A” grader or would you learn the methods from “D” graders? You would want to learn how did he manage to score “A”; what are the methods that he used, etc. Don’t you?

Jay Abraham’s little story. Up to you to decide what’s the value.

This is a small story from Jay Abraham, the story of 2 robbers.

Robber A and Robber B have decided to go and make some money. And they decided to take some action, which is robbing someone, of course.

So, Robber A started out and returned with $100. And Robber B went to rob another person, and returned with only $20, a rusty ring and a watch that had even stopped working.

When we lay this out in a table format, it should look something like the following:

Rob Result
Robber A: $100
Robber B: $20
Rusty Ring
Cheapskate Watch

Who earned more? From this table, it doesn’t seems that Robber B is doing too well on this, right? In actual value calculation, Robber B is only getting $20, while Robber A is getting $100.

So, Robber B does not seem to get a good catch, right? Only earn $20 from the robbing. And a rusty ring, with the cheapskate not functioning watch, do not fetch him any good price.

But…the story does not end here.

So, the next day, Robber B went back to the guy that he robbed. When the guy saw Robber B, he was terrified. Robber B told him that, today he is not here to rob him. He is here to do a deal with him. The guy was puzzled.

And Robber B, started to ask him, would he want to get back his ring and watch? The guy said of course, as it brought back memories. The ring was a gift from his friends and the watch brought back memories of the good old days. It would definitely be great to be able to get back his ring, and watch.

So, Robber B told him, you can get back these items for $100. The guy looked at Robber B and told him that he doesn’t have $100. Robber B then ask him, how much do you have right now? The guy said, $50.

So Robber B told him, if that is the case, I can’t give you both items. I can only give you the ring for $50. And if you would like to get back the watch, it will be at $100. The deal was closed. And the guy pay up the $50 for the ring, and $100 for the watch the next day.

Now, let’s take a look at the table again.

Rob Result Value Total
Robber A: $100 $100 $100
Robber B: $20 $20 $170
Rusty Ring $50
Cheapskate Watch $100

Now, who has earned much more from the rob?

Is it Robber A? Or is it Robber B?
