The Laws of Mind Mapping:

1. Start in the Center of a Landscape page
2. Use an Image or a Picture for your central idea
3. Use Colours throughout
4. Connect your main branches to sub-branches
5. Make branches curve and flow
6. Use one word per line, same length as line
7. Use images throughout

Mind map is basically a diagram used to aid in representing words, ideas, tasks, etc that are related or radially linked to the whole main idea or topic. This is normally used to generate visualisible structure and classifying ideas in areas of study, organization, problem solving, decision making, as well as writing.

Mind mapping isn’t a new topic. However, many people still prefer the old traditional way of taking notes. Well, I have just got to admit the fact too. So, I have found a few videos on mindmapping to share.

Here’s one by Stephen Pierce. He did a summary of mind mapping. Simple to understand, and clear cut!

Main points:

• Identify your purpose
• Pull out related keywords to the purpose
• Put the book title, author and copyright date of material
• Write the chapter name on the branch
• Link the related things to the chapter
• Redraw the whole mindmap

This serves as a purpose for those who have no idea, or learnt before but didn’t get to use it. It is time to make a change.

I found this tool called iMindmap which is from Tony Buzan, that greatly helps in organizing thoughts and ideas, and as long as time is the concern, this tool greatly helps. They also have a trial version of the tool, iMindmap Download. Give it a try and see how much it is going to save you.

Web 2.0 Wealth System, is what kept me amazed and decided to use as blog makeover for Joyce’s Philosophies & Insights. It was a tough call, as my blog is already live. After much consideration, I settled for the decision to continue with the installation.
