Meet the Robinsons, A Great Movie that Tells Inspirational Life Lessons

Meet the Robinsons, an ‘old’ movie, considering it’s first debut in 2007. I am not an anime or computer animated story fan. Yes, I do agree that all the characters are well created, rendered and animated. But personally, what is more importantly is that the story of this movie. It captured my attention and touched me emotionally. To me, this isn’t a WOW movie, where you watched, amazed by the effects and characters building, and forget kind of movie, it depicts some real life lessons.

Frankly speaking, by looking at the title of the movie, it doesn’t motivate me to watch it, until my friend insisted that I should. Of course, I am going share some reviews and inspirations I have got from the movie itself. If you have not watched it, please go and get a legal copy or rent it. If you have watched it, and yet haven’t get any inspirations out of it, please go and watch it again.

Long story short, the main character, Lewis grew up in an orphanage, awaiting to get adopted. He is a brilliant kid that always likes to work onĀ  his invention projects. Unfortunately, all his adoption interviews did not went well. He starts to get worried, as once he turns 13, it would even be harder for people willing to adopt him. The sad thought makes him want to look for his mother, to see what his mother looked like, and maybe she would want him. So, he works on inventing a machine that scans through the brain and replay memories, and goes to participate in the invention fair. Read the rest of this entry »

Little Review On The Available Functions of Silver Membership Millionaire

In the previous post, I mentioned about the membership site that was called Membership Millionaire, whereby you could signup for a free account. After poking around the system using the free account, I was tempted to getting the silver pass to drill further into Membership Millionaire and get my hands dirty on the membership site.

So here’s a little presentation of the Membership Millionaire with my new silver membership. When I got into the account with my new membership login pass, I was greeted with the 3 courses that they are currently offering, namely:

  • “Membership Millionaire with Jeremy Gislason & Simon Hodgkinson” (1hr15min)
  • “Power Marketing Course Audio Version” (4hr40min)
  • “Membership Millionaire Course Audio Version” (2hr8min)

All are of at least 1 full hours of solid contents. Some of the above mentioned courses come with transcripts, besides the audio files, so that anyone would be able to flip through pdf files easily.

What is cooking, Seth? Ready For Meatball Sundae Feast

Meatball sundae. This is going to be the new marketing book that is up on shelf. It definitely put me on a temptation struggle to get this new book. But it sounds pretty interesting. Why would I say that?

Seth’s theory in making a meatball sundae is the unfortunate result of mixing two good ideas. The meatball and sundae toppings are great nice stuff by itself, but once mixed, create a different unlikeable result.

He explained that:

the meatballs are the foundation, the things we need (and sometimes want). These are the commodities that so many businesses are built on. While the sundae toppings (hot fudge and the like) are the New Marketing, the social networks, Google, blogs and fancy stuff that make people all excited.

The challenge most organizations face: they try to mix them. They attempt to slap new marketing onto old and end up with nothing but a failed website.

This book explores the 14 trends that are changing our world and how organizations can either embrace them or be punished by them.

Well, embracing technology or fancy stuff or even funky ideas may not be possibly be a bad thing for companies, but how they cook the meatball and make the sundae toppings to blend into a nice and wonderful favor, is a BIG challenge to any and every company.

Unlimited Power 2007 Singapore Aftermath

Unlimited Power 2007 Singapore ended successfully, it is definitely a great event for the day. I went for it and there is a quite a lot of people from international wide, Japan, Taiwan, China, etc. I suppose most people came to see Anthony Robbins, cause they were shouting for Anthony Robbins during the introduction.

The 3 main speakers are Anthony Robbins, Stephen Pierce and Allan Pease, with a bonus speaker Clement Chiang.

Allan Pease

The first speaker for the event, Allan Pease did a nice job in warming up the tons of people, since it is an early event that started off at 9.00am. The way Allan spoke was very much sincere and interesting, about the difference between the minds of women and men. That cause them to react differently to the same scenario. As a body language and communication expert, Allan was excellent in the way that he presented the ideas, friendly, interesting, yet deep down inside is the hardcore truth about men and women.

Seth Godin - Ideas that Spread, Win

I took a break to watch this video where Seth Godin presented the fact that ideas that spread will simply win. Have you ever put your products on advertisement and stuff, mass publicize your products to the public? And now, are you continuing to do so? The rules of the game have changed, so in order to stay in the game and win, you need to change too.

This video that presented the “ideas that spread, win” comes from “All Marketers Are Liars” by Seth Godin, of course. I truly admire Seth for breaking the hardcore marketing rules and exposing the clear ideas of marketing to businesses. And this will make you think deeper.

Here’s the video for you by Seth Godin on the idea of “Ideas that Spread, Win“:

Web 2.0 Wealth System, is what kept me amazed and decided to use as blog makeover for Joyce’s Philosophies & Insights. It was a tough call, as my blog is already live. After much consideration, I settled for the decision to continue with the installation.

Prior to this site, I have already tried to implement the blog solution with a new site on Adventure Travel. Since everything is new, so there is no trouble with the new installation at all. Everything was perfectly and nicely in place.

Think Rich, Think Poor - Rich Dad Poor Dad Review

The first mind blowing book that lead me to think further and deeply starts with nothing more than Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad. It is really great for him to have a poor but educated dad, and a rich dad that taught him about financial literacy and to look at things differently. By putting the two dads together you are going to get more than just the one-sided thinking.
